On May 5th of 1999, Khayyam Mahdi opened Global Cuts Barbershop (@globalcutsamherst). For over 26 years, the shop has offered more than a haircut — it’s provided a safe and joyful gathering space where cultures connect, stories are shared, and the people build, together. 

Located in the soul of Amherst, Massachusetts, we offer styles and grooming traditions inspired by cultures from around the world. Whether you’re here for a fade, a classic cut, or a style passed down through generations, we honor the diversity that makes our Global community unique.
